With NYC's Blockchain Week in high gear, the rapper best known (these days, anyway) for smoking weed and kicking it with Martha Stewart took a little detour into the heart of cryptocounty. And boy did he get around.

A performance at a Ripple party was or particular note, with Bloomberg reporting that blood orange margaritas and champagne flowed freely.

But Snoop didn't stop there. Video posted to Instagram shows him smoking what appears to be a blunt at an iCash party held at the 1 OAK nightclub in Chelsea.

And, according to New York Times reporter Nathaniel Popper, Snoop also managed to make "a late-night appearance after the Ripple party."

It turns out that Snoop Dogg may, in fact, be the hardest working man in cryptobusiness.

But that doesn't mean everyone's a fan. After seeing the photos of Snoop at the Ripple event, one person tweeted that he or she was done with Ripple's XRP token.

And before you blockchain fanboys start writing Snoop/Ripple slash fic, take note: According to Bloomberg, the Dogg was not paid in XRP for his performance.

Perhaps his heart belongs to another form of digital currency (or is it a store of value?).
