Avoiding the Last Jedimarketing has been easy enough for the past couple of months, because there hasn't really been much Last Jedimarketing to speak of. So this week's trailer will be the first true test of your commitment to avoiding Last Jedispoilers.
On the one hand, you've probably already made up your mind to watch Star Wars: The Last Jediin theaters. And if you're not on the fence, you don't need a trailer to convince you to see the movie. Why not skip the new ad, and save its surprises for the theatrical experience?
On the other – dude, it's a new Star Warstrailer. Are you really gonna resist the temptation to take a peek? Besides, even if you don't look, it's gonna be impossible to avoid completely. The gifs and screencaps will be all over social media within seconds, and your friends will inevitably discuss the new plot points in casual conversation. Why not just give in and see it for yourself?
Personally, I'm in the latter camp. I know there's no way I'll be able to hold out 'til December, so I'm just going to let myself have this right away.
But to all you spoiler-phobes out there – don't say you haven't been warned.
